What is a domain name and why do you need it?
A domain name is the Internet address of your website and it should be a unique and simple word for your visitors to remember. At Online Presence Solutions, you can choose your new domain name from a variety of generic and country-code TLDs.

At Online Presence Solutions we believe in providing you with plenty of choices and domain names are not an exception! We offer you 50+ Top Level Domains (TLDs) spanning both the most famous generic TLDs (e.g. .com, .net, .org, .info) and the most popular country-code TLDs (e.g. .com.au, .co.nz, .us, .co.uk).
Though every TLD will direct visitors to your website equally fine, there are some differences among them in regards to some features - some TLDs accept ID protection service, some TLDs can only be registered for 2 year periods (e.g. Australian domains), etc. You can find the exact information for each one of them by clicking on the 'TLD features' tab right above this paragraph.
In case you do not require hosting service but would like to simply host your domain names with us we provide you with our free Domain Manager plan! You will be able to fully manage them from our Control Panel, where you can also upgrade your plan to include website hosting if you feel like it later on. The highlights of our Domain Manager plan are:
- Multiple Domains Management
- Our Domain Manager plan allows you to easily manage multiple domains within a single account and each domain is provided with a complete list of DNS controls. If you later on decide to add web hosting service, you will be able to manage both the domain names and the shared hosting from the same Web Hosting Control Panel. Additionally you can transfer any domains you may have hosted with another provider to your account with us. If the transfer is successful we will add 1 year to the registration of said domain name.
- Simple WHOIS Management
- Each time you register a domain name, the Registries require to provide accurate identification information from the owner - this is called the WHOIS record. By using our services you can easily change the WHOIS information either for a single domain name or for multiple domains at once (when using the same details for each of the domains in your account).
- DNS Records Management
- Our Domain Manager plan allows you to easily set and modify your domain's DNS records e.g. A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT. The DNS records modification system we have implemented not only can set new records but also revert to the default values if you want to.
- SSL Certificates
- When you develop an online store website you must make sure to provide a secure communication with your customers to process their payment. To accomplish that task you will need a SSL certificate, which is a service that will encrypt the connection between your customers and your store. We want to help your business to succeed so we can provide you with a SSL certificate!
- ID Protection
- We know you are concerned with your privacy and maybe worried about having to release your personal information for the WHOIS record, which is public domain. To address this we offer an ID Protection tool! This will hide your private information and instead show our ID Protection contact details (the domain name will still be registered on your name!). However, this service is provided only for the following TLDs: .info .biz .co .co.za .me .tv .pro .cc .net .we.bs .com .org
- GeoIP DNS Tool
- Integrated in our DNS manager you will find a tool which can easily redirect your visitors to different pages within your website or even to completely different websites, based on their IP address. IP addresses can be tracked to specific geographic zones therefore you could for example, send the traffic coming from Australia to your index page, while your visitors coming from Spain may be redirected automatically to a subdomain such as es.your-website.com

Switch to Online Presence Solutions in just 3 easy steps
- Choose a hosting plan
- Once you select a plan and place your order we will send detailed information to your email i.e. Control Panel address, login, password and further information.
- Update your domain name records
- To do this you will have to go to your current registrar's web site and point your domain name's DNS settings to our servers. Please be aware that once you have saved your new DNS settings, it will take approximately 24 hours for all the DNS servers around the world to update their own records and start redirecting your visitors to your new server.
- Upload your site
- Actually you can start working on your site or upload it immediately after having placed your order because we will provide you with a temporary URL for your website. In fact we recommend for you to take advantage of this and make sure that your website and scripts are fully functional on your new server before updating the DNS records, therefore avoiding any downtime.
