Data Centres
We are currently working with 4 state-of-the-art datacentres located in Australia (Sydney), the UK (Maidenhead, Berkshire), the USA (Chicago, Ilinois), and Sweden (Stockholm).
We have chosen this strategically located datacentres so that you can choose the one closer to your location. This guarantees that we are able to provide greater loading speeds for your sites and applications.
The Global Switch Datacenter is located in Sydney, Australia and is one of the largest data centres in the Southern Hemisphere. It counts with 42,000 square metres (50,000 square feet) of space and over 34 MW of onsite power generation capacity.
The temperature & humidity are maintained according to energy efficient standards at all times which means low energy costs to customers.
Connectivity & Telecommunications
The facility has access to multiple telecommunication providers to ensure it is carrier neutral and guarantee permanent connectivity.
At each end of the data centre there are N+1 telecommunication rooms populated by most of the major domestic and international Carriers. Customer suites final distribution is in a 2(N+1) configuration.
Diverse cable routes, risers and pathways, and roof space availability for satellite and antennae equipment are ensured as well.
Power Supply Network
- 3 x diverse 20MVA feeds connected to the National Grid
- Highly efficient DRUPS installation is supported by up to 22 no-break Rotary Diesel UPS sets
- Diverse A+B+R supply, distributed via 11kV rings within the data centre On-site diesel tanks (6 x 60,000 litres) support 24 hours at full capacity with 24x7 fuel delivery
Backup Power
The Global Switch data centre is operated to an enhanced Tier III standard. It has diverse 33 kV feeds connected to a back up power system consisting of 22 diesel rotary UPS systems.
Monitoring & Security
An experienced facilities management team with technicians is on duty 24x7. BMS systems are ensured to monitor all essential mechanical plant and SCADA system for all electrical systems.
A Security Operations Centre with security guards is on-site 24x7. Premises are under constant CCTV surveillance and physical access to the data centre is controlled by a mantrap.
Well-maintained & Reliable Servers
Global Switch's network comprises multiple main production servers, backup servers, as well as administrative, spare and dedicated servers.
The Pulsant-BlueSquare Datacentre is a state-of-the-art facility located in Maidenhead, Berkshire, about 20 miles from London. This makes it an excellent choice for all our clients focusing on audiences in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
World-class infrastructure
We have chosen the Pulsant-BlueSquare data center because of both their over-engineering and quality service. They have made a solid investment in the best infrastructure and equipment available in the industry. For example, Pulsant-BlueSquare has 40% more cooling capacity and electrical input now than what it was originally designed for. They are one of the few facilities that are able to provide access to fiber traveling directly to the USA, Paris and Amsterdam!
Optimal Route Selection
Pulsant-BlueSquare provides up to 16 Amps per cabinet location with N+1 redundancy at all times.
Pulsant-BlueSquare House is connected with 2 London docklands datacentres via a 10Gig Extreme Networks ring. Those being Telehouse East and Telecity HEX89.
100% dedicated and well-trained professionals
Technically advanced, well-trained and fully dedicated professionals are responsible for the maintenance of our hardware and the normal functioning of the offered services.
Very Fast & Reliable Servers
Our network of servers represents more than 80 servers. We have main production servers, backup servers, as well as administrative, spare and dedicated servers.
The Steadfast Datacentre is a state-of-the-art data centre located in Chicago, Illinois. Owned by the well-known US company Steadfast Networks, it provides the physical environment necessary for keeping the servers up and running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.
Fully Redundant Network
The internal network of the data centre is composed of redundant Cisco 6500 (SUP720) core routers/switches, Cisco 3560-E series distribution layer switches and Cisco 2950/2960 aggregation/customer layer switches. The network is fully meshed and redundant with several major backbone providers and an international peering network.
Optimal Route Selection
The data centre where the servers are co-located has an excellent peering network, including major backbone providers, such as Layer(3), NTT and nLayer, which are among the top network service providers. BGP is used for optimal route selection and automatic failover.
100% Network Uptime
The in-house operation centre is staffed with skilled technicians that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The service is backed up by an industry-leading 100% network uptime SLA.
Well-maintained & Reliable Servers
Our own server network includes a vast number of servers, which are being monitored 24/7/365. We maintain basic production servers, backup servers, as well as administrative, spare and dedicated servers.
The Pionen Datacentre is a ultra-modern underground data centre. This Hollywood-style Swedish data centre, is managed by Bahnhof, one of Sweden's largest ISP's. The facility is located in a Cold War era nuclear shelter, deep in the bedrock, right underneath Stockholm city. It was designed to be able to withstand a near hit by a hydrogen bomb.
Unique Human-friendly Interior Design
The Pionen data center is like no other hosting facility in the world. It was inspired by old science fiction movies like The Empire Strikes Back & James Bond.
The facility boasts a unique human-friendly ambience, offering breathtaking waterfalls, greenhouses, a glass-enclosed conference room "floating" above the floor, and simulated daylight.
Fully Redundant Network
Pionen is one the best-connected places in Northern Europe. It offers triple redundancy Internet backbone access.
The network has full redundancy with both fiber optics and extra copper lines with multiple different physical ways into the mountain.
Backup Power & Cooling
Backup power supply is ensured by two Maybach MTU diesel engines that were originally designed for submarines. They are capable of producing 1.5 Megawatts of power. Just for fun, a warning system (sound horns) from the original German submarine has been installed.
The cooling is handled by "Baltimore Aircoil fans producing a cooling effect of 1.5 megawatts". This is enough to cool several hundred rack-mounted servers at a time.
24/7/365 Monitoring
Boasting 11,950 sq ft of space the data centre houses a Network Operations Centre (NOC) for all of Bahnhof's operations.
One of five data centres, it is the largest and is manned by a 15 member team of senior technical staff.
Well-maintained & Reliable Servers
Pionen's network comprises multiple main production servers, backup servers, as well as administrative, spare and dedicated servers.
